Ancaster, a quaint town nestled just West of the hustle and bustle of Hamilton, enjoys multiple pocketed neighbourhoods. One sunny afternoon, my colleague and I decided to visit one of those areas. As we chatted with some of the residents of Robina Road, we heard the same declarations! They enjoyed the maturity of the area with its majestic trees and the "cottage feel" in the evenings - the tranquility! Most of the homes were built in the late 50's or early 60's, with many of the residents being long time owners or original owners, but recently they are seeing some of the older homes being torn down and large, stately homes being erected. New homes on large, picturesque lots, are drawing new families to the neighbourhood. The walk along Robina Road brings you to the ravine. Just behind Robina, are the sprawling grasses of the Hamilton Golf and Country Club. The village is close, with its various dining venues, churches and local shops, and yet Meadowlands, or the Power Centre, with its big box stores is not too distant. The Ancaster Farmer's Market operates every Wednesday afternoon from 3 - 7p.m. from June until October. Ancaster has it all! Quick and easy highway access to Toronto and its suburbs, makes Ancaster a very desirable area to purchase your next home!
